About Moray RDA

Our group runs riding sessions for local disabled children and adults from Cranloch Riding Centre near Elgin, and by doing so provides the riders with a quality learning and recreational experience in a relaxed atmosphere of fun and companionship.
It’s recognised that regular riding improves balance, concentration, co-ordination, communication, and confidence - to say nothing about the benefits of exercising regularly in the fresh air – for the rider AND the volunteer!

We run our sessions on Monday afternoons and all day Wednesdays between March and June and then again between August and November.  If you’d like to find out more about volunteering with us please click here.

We have been in existence since 1971 and currently have the use of the great facilities at Heather & James Younie’s Cranloch Riding Centre.  The facilities include an indoor school for the cold wet days, an outdoor sand school, and best of all fields and woods to explore on sunny days!

We are a registered charity run almost entirely by volunteers.  We are totally self funding therefore we are completely dependent on contributions from individuals and local businesses to fund the work we do.   If you'd like to help us financially please click here.
